PURPOSE: A method for controlling generation of PG pulse in VCR servo system is provided to simplify a set component and decrease a manufacturing cost by generating a pseudo PG pulse without a PG detecting sensor and a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling generation of PG pulse in VCR servo system is checks as to whether a system microprocessor is a driving mode, and a signal of an abnormal hole sensor is detected(S101,S102). The detected value is read when the signal of the abnormal hole sensor is detected, and the process is returned when the signal of the abnormal hole sensor is not detected(S103,S104). The current detected value is compared with a reference value previously stored in a memory, and a PG pseudo pulse is generated when the current detected value is greater than the reference value(S105,S106). The process is returned when the current detected value is less than the reference value.
