PURPOSE: A method and apparatus is provided to produce a thermoplastic resin sheet, which allows high speed molding of the thermoplastic resin sheet excellent in thickness uniformity with few surface defects. CONSTITUTION: A method is for producing a thermoplastic resin sheet, by extruding a molten thermoplastic resin like a sheet from a die, and cooling and solidifying the sheet on a cooling drum according to the electrostatic charging method. A conductive tape used in the method is almost rectangular in section and has a thickness X of 0.01 mm to 0.5 mm, and a width Y of 1 mm to 10 mm. The relation between the thickness X and the width Y of the conductive tape is 50 to 1000 in Y/X and the thickness variation Z in the longitudinal direction is less than 30%. And the surface speed of the cooling drum used for casting is as high as 65 m/min or more. |
