TIME SEARCH REPRODUCING METHOD FOR VIDEO CD SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A time search reproducing method for video CD system is provided to conveniently see only a specific information region by selectively reproducing the specific information region using a Q data of a video CD. CONSTITUTION: A video CD player reads a TOC recorded in a read-in region of a disk, corrects an error, and provides the corrected TOC to a control unit when the disk is mounted on a video CD system(S1). The control unit stores TOC information provided from the video CD player to a memory to stand by(S2). The control unit controls a reproduction of the video CD player based on the TOC stored in the memory when a signal of a reproducing key is provided to the control unit(S3,S4). The control unit searches an inner memory and discriminates as to whether a first Q data for indicating a specific position on the disk is stored when a signal of a position memory key is inputted to the control unit(S5-S7). The Q data provided from the video CD player(200) is stored as the first Q data to the inner memory when the first Q data is stored(S8). It is judged as to whether a second Q data is stored(S9). The Q data provided from the video CD player is stored as a the second Q data to the inner memory(S10).
