The invention relates to a security room for information technology facilities, which exhibits fireproof side walls (2) comprising a sealing doo r (5), a floor (4) and a ceiling (3). Sealing of the room against heat effects in case of a fire is essentially fostered by the fact that at least the side walls (2) are assembled in a modular manner from individual fireproof member s (S, D, E) which are laid side-by-side and are in the form of panels extendin g from floor (4) to ceiling (3). In addition, fireproof sealing members (2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8) are placed between the edges of said individual members (S, D , E). The individual members are held together by means of connecting elements (2.9, 14) which compress the sealing elements (2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8).
