The wheeled container (1) has a U-shaped trough with a hermetically sealed cover (2). The cover can tilt backwards when the clamps (9, 10, 11) are opened. When the carcass has been put into the container, the cover is closed and the container is coupled to a solar powered cooling system via input (5) and output (6) couplings on the cover. Disinfectant can be fed (4) into the container and liquids drained into a sump.
