Preparing a printing plate having a photopolymeric layer previously exposed to ultraviolet light includes brushing the exposed face using a rectangular array of brushes. The brushes perform a horizontal rotation as well as reciprocating. Each brush is 180 degrees out of phase from an adjacent brush. The brushes move at constant velocity. An Independent claim is included for an apparatus performing as above. |
