METHOD FOR RECORDING SPORTS BROADCASTING PROGRAM IN TELEVISION VIDEO

PURPOSE: A method for recording sports broadcasting program in television video is provided to save a video tape amount needed to a record and a time needed to a reproduction by not recording a signal in the case that a crucial moment is repeated as a slow motion or a same video is repeatedly broadcasted. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor controls an operation of a TVCR and judges as to whether a recording mode is set(S100). The microprocessor performs a general TVCR function when the recording mode is not set and judges as to whether the recording mode is set(S110). A record is performed when the recording mode is set(S120). The microprocessor judges as to whether a current recorded broadcasting program is a sports program(S130). Videos with two frames is stored when the current recorded broadcasting program is the sports program, and it is judged as to whether a difference between videos with two frames is less than a reference value(S140-S160). A record is stopped when the difference between videos with two frames is less than the reference value(S160). The record is performed when the difference between videos with two frames is more than the reference value(S170).
