PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which processing efficiency is enhanced while preventing waste of supply by storing a job under imaging temporarily in a large capacity memory even upon occurrence of a characteristic error associated therewith and dealing with next job quickly. SOLUTION: An apparatus for forming an image based on an image data from a host unit comprises a section 1a for receiving an image data from the host unit, a section 2 for storing a received image data in units of job in a large capacity memory, a section 3 for forming an image, a section 4 for delivering information that an error must be released upon occurrence of a characteristic error associated with a job under imaging, and a section 5 for interrupting the job under imaging, storing the image data of the job while adding error release information and ending the job temporarily.
