PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image pickup device reducing distortion of an image, reducing a size and recording a cost. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an image converter 13 converting the X-ray image of an examinee 12 to an optical image, an image pickup lens 14a on which the optical image converted by this converter 13 is made incident and an image pickup device 14 using a solid-state image pickup element converting the optical image made incident through this lens 14a to a prescribed output signal. In this case, the pixel of the solid-state image pickup element is disposed corresponding to the image distortion of the optical image inputted to the device 14.
