PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device for construction machine capable of excluding the operation by a redundant circuit when unnecessary and improving the safety. SOLUTION: In an operation control device for construction machine comprising a normal circuit including an overload prevention device 1 for automatically stopping a machine in overload and a redundant circuit capable of releasing the automatic stop of the machine by the overload prevention device 1 and operating the machine by an operator in such manner that they are switcheable, a detecting means 4 for detecting that the overload prevention device 1 is in an abnormal state, and a relay means 5 capable of operating only when the abnormal state of the overload prevention device 1 is detected by the detecting means 4 and operating the machine by the operation by the operator are provided. Further a display means for displaying that the redundant circuit is effective and is activated, is provided.
