PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet type recording head which is prevented from being broken and bent in flying ink because of a difference of thermal expansion coefficients of a channel unit and a head case even when the channel unit and head case are bonded under a heating environment. SOLUTION: A channel unit 9 is secured to a unit secure face 13 of a head case 10 in which piezoelectric vibrators 7 are stored to be exposed from windows 16 of the unit secure face 13 in this ink-jet type recording head. Notch parts 11 are formed in a channel substrate 4 constituting the channel unit 9, so that a residual stress is eased and the recording head is prevented from being damaged. The channel unit 9 consists of a nozzle plate 6 where many nozzle openings 5 are bored, a diaphragm 8 to which the piezoelectric vibrators 7 butt, and the channel substrate 4 held between the nozzle plate 6 and diaphragm 8 where pressure generation chambers 1 communicating with the nozzle openings, ink storage chambers 2 and a space corresponding to an ink feed path 3 are formed.
