PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curved surface transferring apparatus for preventing back transfer of solid particles and not deteriorating transferability. SOLUTION: In the apparatus used to execute a method for transferring a transfer layer to a base material B to be transferred by opposing the layer side of a transfer sheet S having a support the layer to a protrusion and recess surface side of the material B, colliding solid particles P with the support side of the sheet S and utilizing its collision pressure, sheet retainers 1 for retaining the vicinities of both the sides of the sheet S are arranged, and spaces 3 for eliminating recess positions generated by arranging the retainers 1 at outsides of both sides of the material B are arranged. Thus, a back transfer of the particles P can be prevented. The particles P are not retained and not deposited at the retainers, and transferability near the sides of the base material can be improved.
