<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering method and device in which the responsiveness of a quick power assist motor is obtained at the urgent steering time without adding a minute vibration to a handle at the rudder keeping time and loose steering time and a steering feeling is improved. SOLUTION: This power steering device has a steering speed detection means 3, 4 for producing the steering speed signal|dθ/dt|of a steering shaft, a torque sensor 1 for producing the torque signalτof the steering shaft, a steering signal producing means 2, 5, 6 for producing the steering signal Y by a transmission characteristic by which a gain becomes higher and a phase progress becomes bigger gradually as the steering speed signal becomes bigger and an electric motor 9 for power assist for assisting the steering force based on the steering signal Y. In a rudder keeping state and loose steering state, the gain and phase progress are small and a stable steering responsiveness is obtained and on the contrary, in the quick steering state, as the sharp steering responsiveness is obtained, the steering feeling is improved.</p> |
