PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful for preventing or remarkably reducing rejection reaction of transplant in marrow graft and organ transplantation or treating autoimmune diseases in human and the other Mammal. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by the formula (A is O or the like; B is a 1-6C alkyl or the like; D is H or the like and E is O or the like, with the proviso that when D is H, E is CH-U and when E is O, D is U; U is a 1-6C alkyl or the like; J is 1-2C alkyl or the like; K is a 1-4C alkyl or the like, with the proviso that when E and A are each O and J and K together form a 5-membered ring, when D is H or the like, B is not methyl or the like), e.g. (S)-benzyl-N-(phenylglyoxyl)pipecolate. The compound of the formula, e.g. the above exemplified compound is obtained by reacting (S)-benzylpipecolate with beozoylformic acid in the presence of 1-(3-dimethylamino-propyl)-3- ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride. |
