PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turret punch press in which a forming part and a die do not interfere with each other when positioning a metal plate, and the follow up ability of the elevating/lowering movements of the die, is sure. SOLUTION: In a turret punch press whose upper and lower turrets are freely rotatably and positionably provided in a working position K1, an eject pipe 47 is freely movably up and down provided, which abuts on the rear surface of a die D mounted on a die holder 43 provided on the lower turret 15 and which extends to the lower part of the lower turret, a spacer insertion device 39 is provided, into which a die spacer 71 abutting on the rear surface of the die is freely insertable, an eject pipe elevating/lowering device 37 is provided, by which the die is freely pushable upward to a retracting position in the lower part of a pass line and to a working position on the pass line PL, an eject cylinder is provided, by which the eject pipe is freely pushable upward to the lower part of the lower turret existing in an automatic die changing position, and a die fixing means is provided, by which the die is fixed or released, which is mounted on the eject pipe, linking with the elevating/lowering operations of the eject pipe.
