PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piercing tool for the mounting hole of a down pipe for a rain gutter, by which a uniform hole can be easily opened all the time. SOLUTION: A piercing tool 1 for the mounting hole of a down pipe has a ring 3 having a prescribed shaped hole to pierce a hole for mounting the down pipe to a rain gutter, a board, insertable and detachable into and from the hole, on the outer periphery of the one end of which an annular blade coming into slidable contact with the inner wall surface of the hole of the ring is provided, on the other end of which a shaft 4 arrangeable coaxially with the hole is provided, and has a cylindrical guide 2 into which the shaft is inserted for the purpose that the shaft of the panel becomes movable back and forth on the same axial line as the hole of the ring.
