PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chemical transpiration body for aiming insect killing, sterilization mite killing, insect control, insect pest repellence, aroma, deodorization, etc., capable of stably and efficiently releasing an active ingredient at a normal temperature from the early stage of use for a long period of time, having a design free from sense of incompatibility even when used as an interior. SOLUTION: In this chemical transpiration body obtained by impregnating or retaining a transpiring chemical on a holding material, a plant body processed by drying and/or chemical treatment, so-called dry flower is used as the holding material. Preferably the plant body processed by drying and/or chemical treatment retains an external shape of plant organ or its part and has a vascular bundle system. A chemical containing at least one kind of various chemicals having 1×10-6 mmHg to 1×10-3 mmHg vapor pressure at 20 deg.C such as insecticide, germicide, acaricide, insect controlling agent, mildew proofing agent, rust preventing agent, deodorant, insect pest repellent, perfume, etc., is used as the transpiring agent depending upon a purpose.
