PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove fuzz from a surface of a thread joint. SOLUTION: In a winder in which a thread joining device is arranged between a thread supply part and a winding part, a liquid providing device 11 giving liquid to a thread running path R and a joint finishing device 10 which comes into contact with the thread running path R and is provided with a fuzz stroking device 12 are arranged in the thread joining device or in the vicinity of it. The liquid providing device 11 and the fuzz stroking device 12 of the joint finishing device 10 are integrated by a contact face device 13 which is wet with liquid. Two sets of contact face devices 13 may be provided, and the contact face device 13 of each set may be provided so as to advance and retract freely from a stand-by position away from the thread running path R to a finish position where the thread running path R is nipped.
