PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a patient to easily and safely carry out a diagnosis test of his or her body by the patient himself or herself without requiring the labor of other persons, such as inspectors. SOLUTION: This appliance consists of a stretchable ring body 10 and a scale 20 mounted at this ring body 10. This ring body 10 is constituted by forming a ring of a prescribed size provided with prescribed elongating and contracting power by a stretchable cord-like body 11, such as a rubber cord. A scale 20 is disposed toward the longitudinal direction of the cord-like body 11. The patient fits the ring body 10 to his or her own two fibers (the forefinger 7 and the middle finger 8) and is able to measure the varying degrees of the force to open both of these fingers 7 and 8.
