<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support and suspend a patient at the waist section and to conduct an effective lumbago treatment by providing arm shafts having pads to be closely stuck to the torso of the patient at the tips to pinch and support the torso of the patient from the right and left position-adjustably in the vertical direction, and providing a height-adjustable seat. SOLUTION: For a lumbago treatment, a lumbago patient is seated on a seat 5, and a pedal 7 is depressed to adjust the height of a leg section 6 to a proper height. Pads 16 fitted to the tip sections of arm shafts 14 are position- adjusted by height adjustment sections 9 and width adjustment sections 12 into contact with the lower sections of ribs, and stoppers are adjusted so that the arm shafts 14 pinch both flanks at the angle of about 35 deg.. When the pedal 7 is depressed in this state, the leg section 6 is lowered by about 150 mm together with the seat 5, the patient is set to a suspended state with both flanks supported by the pads 16, the curved spine is pulled downward and straightened by the weight of the patient, thus blood circulation is improved, and lumbago is mitigated.</p> |
