PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably feed paper, even if the position of a paper surface to be in contact with a paper feed roller is varied, the paper feed roller follows after the variation, making the paper surface of paper to be fed to the paper feed roller surely come into contact with it, and pressing the paper to the paper feed roller with a proper pressing force. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device is equipped with a paper feed roller 31b delivering the loaded and stored sheets of paper 30 piece by piece, and two pressure contacting means 22 and 23 forcibly contacting the loaded and stored sheets of paper 30 to the paper feed roller 31b, and is provided with a supporting means 31c supporting the paper feed roller 31b so as to make the paper feed roller 31b follow after the paper surface and contact it, even if the position of a surface of the paper 30 in contact with the paper feed roller 31b is varied as well.
