PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe that can provide a piezoelectric transducer with a uniform matching layer having a desired thickness, with good yield, without interposing bubbles in a gap between the piezoelectric transducer. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric transducer 1 is provided with through holes 3, through holes 5 and through holes 13 corresponding to the through holes 3 are provided on a first matching layer 4 and a second matching layer 12, formed in thin plate shapes or film shapes with a desired thickness. In adhering and fixing the first and second matching layers 4, 12 and an acoustic lens 14 onto the acoustic radiation surface side of the piezoelectric transducer 1 via adhesives, excessive adhesive and bubbles between respective members are made to flow into the through holes 3, 5, 13, and therefore, the adhesive layers are formed thinner without forming an air layer between the respective members.
