PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent operational mistake to an operation switch in closing a cover body. SOLUTION: An operation panel 73 having various switches 81...89 is provided on an upper surface of a cover body 31. A hook button part 64 for releasing locking of the cover body 31 to a rice boiler body 1 is also provided on the upper surface of the cover body 31. In the upper surface of the cover body 31, the hook button part 64 is disposed forward the operation panel 73. In closing the cover body 31, therefore, a hand is put on the front side of it in closing the cover body 31, thereby the switches 81...89 are less prone to be touched.
