PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of retention of a guide ring which was not necessarily high because a conventional structure fitting a guide ring into a ring attaching hole and bonding the ring often resulted in loosening of fitting and adhesive failure. SOLUTION: This line guide is equipped with a ring-holding part 9 made of a metal, having a space 13 partitioned by a planar main part 9a and a surrounding wall 9b extending along the edge of the planar main part 9a and forming a ring-attaching hole 9c in the region deviated to the upper end side of the main part 9a, an attaching foot 11 for attaching to a fishing rod body 15, a guide ring 5 having a flange 5a and a ring-pressing member 7 made of a synthetic resin and having an eaves-like engaging piece 23, and the guide ring 5 is fitted into the ring attaching hole 9c in the state in which the flange 5a is engaged with the periphery of the ring-attaching hole 9c and the ring- pressing member 7 is housed in the space 13 on the side of lower side of the guide ring 5 and the engaging piece 23 is bonded to the ring-holding part 9 in the state engaged with the guide ring 5. Thereby, reliability of retention of the guide ring can surely be enhanced.
