PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-safety herbicide for lawn and field and provide a culture controlling method for lawn using the herbicide. SOLUTION: This herbicide composition contains 1-(2-chlorobenzyl)-3-(1- methyl-1-phenylethyl)urea as an active component. The culture controlling method for lawn comprises the scattering of a herbicide composition containing 1-(2-chlorobenzyl)-3-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)urea as an active component before, after or simultaneously with the over-seeding of lawn seed on a field.
