PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device capable of continuously and efficiently drying granular iodine having sublimation property while minimizing the sublimation without degrading the commercial value. SOLUTION: A drying device main body 1, which is cylindrical and has a charging port 2 on one end face and a discharging port on another end face and in which a draining net 4 is spread on the peripheral wall of the charging port side and a net 5 for discharging powder is spread on the peripheral wall of the discharging port side, is horizontally mounted freely rotatably so that the charging port side 2 is positioned upward, short scraping plates 13 are radially fixed on the inner peripheral wall of the main body 1 at equal distances to face the axial center direction, a hot air blowing port 16 for blowing dehumidified hot air 17 toward the charging port 2 side is provided in the middle of the main body 1 and a normal temp. dry air blowing port 19 for blowing the normal temp. dry air 20 similarly toward the charging port 2 side is provided at the end part of the discharging port 3 side.
