PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily support the load of a guide rail in a vertical direction even the position of the rail in the vertical direction is varied. SOLUTION: In this guide rail fixing device for an elecator, the vertically downward load of a guide rail 4a is received by a supporting bolt 22 for adjusting a vertical position, and the back surface of the rail 4a is made to abut on a backplate 24 fixed to a base mount 2, to regulate the movement of the rail 4a in a horizontal direction to the backplate 24 by rail clips 25.
