PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize backlash among the constituents by rotating an outer annular sleeve along with a rockable shaft and reciprocating both in the opposite direction to each other with respect to the shaft. SOLUTION: Plural neck rings 12 are supported by a neck ring arm 14 and supported while the finished part of a glass parison is formed at a blank forming station 16 by pressing or blowing. When the parison reaches a blow- molding station 18, the parison is opened by the neck ring arm assembly 14. The assembly 14 is returned to the blank forming station 16, The element of a neck ring arm 20 is fixed to the flange 22 of the coupled sleeves 24, and a spur gear 26 is provided between the sleeves 24. The neck ring arm 20 is rocked between the end positions by the reciprocation of a rack 28. A shaft 32 is supported by a bearing 34 and keyed not to be mutually rotated.
