PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly switch a face mode to a defroster mode in a vehicle air conditioner having a filmlike member whose movement switches a plurality of air passages of blowoff opening parts, by providing both a motor for moving the filmlike member to one direction with torque and a coil spring for moving the filmlike member to the other direction with spring force. SOLUTION: In this vehicle air conditioner, a spring force of a spring 29 moves a filmlike member 20 to switch a force mode to a defroster mode. When the spring force moves the filmlike member 20, a motor 23 requires only a low torque to rotate at a high speed so that a mode switching time is reduced. As a result, the switching to the defroster mode is rapidly performed so that cloudiness on window glass is rapidly eliminated.
