PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which adverse effect of vibration can be prevented without enhancing rigidity at the leg part, or the like, even when a carriage moves to scan at high speed. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises a print section 19 mounting a carriage moving relatively to a print medium for scanning, a leg section 21 for supporting the print section 19, an elongated hole 25 made in the leg section 21 along the scanning direction of the carriage, a slider 28 being engaged slidingly with the elongated hole 25 and coupled with the print section 19, and a pair of members 29 having inner and outer ends being coupled, respectively, with the slider 28 and the leg section and urging the slider 28 to the central part of the elongated hole 25.
