PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely form a desired form plate without fail by not failing in forming the plate by automatically restarting plate-making caused by a time excess like in prior art. SOLUTION: The stencil printer 1 comprises a continuously engraving key 102d for setting a continuously engraving mode for continuously sequentially engraving images read from a plurality of originals within an area capable of being engraved on a stencil base sheet, a waiting time setting key 102e for setting a continuously engraving waiting time until next original is engraved after the engraving process based on one original is finished, and a control means 105 for controlling to temporarily stop the engraving process for the engraving waiting time set by the key 102e from a time point of finishing the engraving based on the one original at the time of the mode by setting the key 102d.
