PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent welding of a brake groove at the time of burning by preventing spring-back of the brake groove before burning. SOLUTION: Many chip carriers 23 having cavities 22 are formed in a sheet of ceramic green sheet 21. Thereafter, engagement jigs 28 made of rubber are fit into the cavities 22 and while supporting the sealing projected parts 24 provided around cavities 22 by the engagement jigs 28 from the sides, V-shaped brake grooves 25 are formed in the sealing projected parts 24 wire knives 26 from the upper part. Thus it is prevented by the engagement jigs 28 that the parts on both sides of the brake grooves 25 in the sealing projected parts 24 tilt on the sides of the cavities 22 in the formation of the brake grooves 25. Therefore, spring back of the brake grooves 25 before burning is not generated, and welding of the grooves at the time of burning is prevented, and brake properties are improved.
