摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fat reduced beverage more effective that a conventional food for slimming, or the like, and to provide a method for producing the beverage. SOLUTION: This beverage contains an essence extracted from any one kind of raw material selected from fruit of Chinese matrimony vine, seed of Crataegus cuneata, Cassia tora, and the like. The raw material is immersed in water at a normal temperature or a temperature higher than the normal temperature, and water and the raw material are decompressed to give an extracted essence, which is added to a beverage. The method for producing the beverage comprises a raw material feeding process for throwing the raw material into a container, a water feeding process for feeding water at a normal temperature or a temperature higher than the normal temperature to the container into which the raw material was fed, a water absorbing process for allowing the raw material to stand for 3 hours to 12 hours after the water feeding process to absorb water into the raw material, a decompressing process for reducing the pressure of the container, and a process for mixing the essence extracted by the decompressing process with another liquid. The temperature of water added in the water feeding process is in a range of 50 deg.C to 100 deg.C and the weight ratio of the raw material to the water fed is 1:0.3 to 1:2.
