Polyols are used to stabilize procysteine, i.e. L-2-oxothiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid (I). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a mixture of (I) and at least one polyol (II) in a (I)/(II) weight ratio of 1/4 or less; (2) a cosmetic composition comprising (I), (II) and water, where the (I)/(II) weight ratio is 1/4 or less. |
