PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair dye composition excellent in hair dyeing performance, stability on production and storage, and convenience as well. SOLUTION: This hair dye composition contains such a compound that an oxidative dye is included in a hydroxypropyl group-contg. cyclodextrin derivative; wherein the quantity of the hydroxypropyl group-contg. cyclodextrin to be formulated is normally 2.0-75.0 wt.% in this composition, being pref. 5.0-60.0 wt.% in view of the stability of the oxidative dye.
