PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently ensure the opening amount of a contact point of a main contact of a limit switch to stabilize the power source cutoff state in a case when the normal power source cutoff can not be executed by the contact welding of the main contact of a control relay, and the power source cutoff is executed by opening the main contact of the limit switch in the limit switch for stopping a moving body on a predetermined position. SOLUTION: A limit switch S is operated in accompany with the motion of a sensing rod 16, and comprises an auxiliary contact 13 to cutoff a motor power source when it is opened, the main contacts 11, 12 operated in accompany with the motion of the sensing rod 16 with delay from the auxiliary contact 13, and to cut off the motor power source when it is opened, and a brake releasing contact 14 operating a brake of a motor when it is opened. The brake releasing contact 14 opens when the contact points of the main contacts 11, 12 are opened by a predetermined amount after the main contacts 11, 12 are opened.
