PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the proper overload preventing function suitable for the actual operation mode. SOLUTION: This overload prevention device of a crane inputs the detection signals from a jib accomodation detecting means 10 and a jig projection detecting means 11 and a set mode recognized by a set mode recognition means 9 to a comparing and computing means 12 to compare the actual operation mode with the set operation mode, and the warning is generated from a warning means 14 when they are not agreed with one another to execute the overload prevention treatment.
