PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of cavitation and to make the flesh of the tissue rarely crack even when strong ultrasonic waves are generated by providing an ultrasonic wave generating source generating the ultrasonic waves having the positive pressure rising steeply and the negative pressure trailing slowly. SOLUTION: The wave-form generation section 11 of a high-voltage signal generation section 1 generates a continuous wave-shaped voltage so that a drive voltage wave-form is outputted from a matching circuit section 13. The continuous wave-shaped voltage is amplified by an amplification section 12 and outputted to an ultrasonic transducer 2 through the matching circuit 13. The continuous wave-shaped drive voltage rising steeply and trailing gently is outputted to the ultrasonic transducer 2, then the ultrasonic sound pressure output generated from the ultrasonic transducer 2 has the positive pressure rising steeply and the negative pressure trailing gently. No steep negative pressure is generated in a passing region even when strong ultrasonic waves are irradiated from the ultrasonic transducer 2.
