<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make small and light-weight the whole of a driving apparatus by incorporating a counter for setting drive time data into a CPU and using an output port of the CPU as a port for an LED drive signal. SOLUTION: A CPU 21 is provided with an output port 30 for outputting an LED drive signal and counters 31 for storing an exposure amount of each LED chip 14, i.e., drive time data. In this constitution, there is no need for connecting counters and registers between a printing head circuit 20 and the CPU 21. The LED drive signal is supplied directly from the output port 30 of the CPU 21 to a driver 25. The printing head circuit 20 is constituted of the LED chips 14 and drivers 25 only, and the CPU 21 is set to an external substrate independently of the printing head circuit 20. A weight of the printing head circuit 20 is accordingly reduced. Moreover, a load torque of the printing head circuit 20 is lessened, so that a stepping motor 26 can be small.</p> |
