PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven treadmill which can be folded just after use. SOLUTION: This treadmill is provided with a deck 10 for a user to perform walking or running exercises on a belt 11 and having a driving part 12 for driving the belt and with a handle part 20 attached to this deck 10 so as to be relatively rotated with respect to the deck 10, and the deck 10 and handle part 20 can be folded as overlapped. At the section of the driving part 12 facing a pole 23 of the handle part 20, a limit switch 30 is provided projectingly. In the state of using the treadmill, the limit switch 30 is pressed and turned on by bringing a lever 30a into contact with the pole 23. When the treadmill is folded by moving the deck 10 up, the limit switch is turned off by detaching the lever 30a from the pole 23, and the operation of the driving part 12 is stopped.
