PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium for improving water resistance of a printed image. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording medium comprises an ink absorption layer containing at least one type of inorganic fine particles and at least one type of compound represented by the formula, wherein R is a 3 or more C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring or substituted or unsubstituted pyridine ring. The particles are alumina hydrate. The hydrate preferably has a pseudo-Boehmite structure. |
