PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately and precisely establish a gap between a nozzle head and a printing face, to facilitate heat-radiating of a driving circuit and handling of this printer and to reduce this printer in size. SOLUTION: A nozzle head 10U for a plurality of colors having multiple ink jet nozzles arranged in a main scanning direction (X) together with a head holder 50 can be vertically moved between a lower side printing position PP and an upper side non-printing position NPP in an axis line direction (Y) perpendicular to a printing face 5. Inks for a plurality of colors are ejected to the printing face from the nozzle head disposed at the lower side printing position PP, thereby performing the printing and the maintenance of the nozzle head disposed at the upper side non-printing position NPP can be executed. A driving circuit for the nozzle head 10U is attached to the head holder 50 such that the circuit can be vertically moved together with the nozzle head 10U. |
