PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a head wiper for wiping ink or the like from a nozzle face of an ink-jet head of an ink-jet printer. SOLUTION: A head unit 6 of an ink-jet head where the ink-jet head is incorporated is detachably mounted together with an ink cartridge 7 to a carriage 8. A head wiper-cleaning plate 701 is set to a bottom face of the ink cartridge 7, which projects down from a bottom face of the carriage 8. When the carriage 8 is moved to a home position, the head wiper-cleaning plate 701 hits a head wiper 91 and wipes ink, dust and the like from a leading end part. Accordingly, the head wiper 91 can be kept in a state to be appropriate for wiping a nozzle face 61. |
