PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device for reoperating an elevator at the time of charging the next time power, even cage position pulse data can not be preserved at the time of a power source off. SOLUTION: In this elevator control device, an absolute position detecting means 1c, for detecting the position of a cage without depending on cage position pulse data counted by a cage position pulse operating means 1d, is provided on a given story floor such as at the uppermost part; and an elevator is traveled until the position of the cage can be detected by the means 1c. A cage position pulse correcting means 1b reads out data in accordance with the means 1c from a memorizing means 1a, to supply the data to the means 1d, thereby correcting a cage position pulse.
