PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a forming laminated veneer at a low cost of equipment by a method wherein a plurality of veneers, each of which is produced by slicing a flitch, in which a width and a length are nearly equal to each other, are laminated to one another under the condition that their fiber directions are set to be normal to one another and bonded together. SOLUTION: A plurality of square woods 11 having the same length L1 as the width L1 of a flitch 12 are assembled by applying an adhesive to their predetermined side surfaces so as to bond them together with one another under pressure in order to produce the flitch 12. Next, after the flitch is set to a slicer having a slicable stroke, a slicing knife 13 with a predetermined bias angleθis reciprocated nearly normal to the fibers of the flitch 12 so as to produce veneers. The obtained veneers are laminated to one another under the condition that their fiber directions are set to be normal to one another and bonded together so as to manufacture a laminated veneer. The resultant laminated veneer is cut so as to respond to the size of a forming press mold. Intermediate veneers can be laminatingly bonded without being cut so as to match to the widths of the top and bottom veneers. In addition, the cost of equipment can be reduced remarkably.
