PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mishaps in pricking by a needle of a person engaged in medical treatment by an indwelling needle (inner needle of a metallic needle) after use. SOLUTION: The medical piercing implement for used for the so-called indwelling needle comprising an outer needle body 1 for indwelling consisting of a capillary made of a soft synthetic resin and an inner needle body 2 for puncturing consisting of a metallic capillary inserted into the outer needle body 1 consists of the intravenous cannula and an outer cylinder 6 containing the indwelling needle. The outer periphery at the rear end of the indwelling needle is provided with a detention projecting part 3b. The axial peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 6 is bored with a guide groove 7 and the detention projecting part 3b is protruded into the guide groove 7, by which the indwelling needle is made detainable advanceably and retreatably to and from the outer cylinder in such a manner that the indwelling needle projects or submerges to and from the front surface of the outer cylinder. Further, a spring 5 for energizing the intravenous cannula to the side where the indwelling needle is submerged to the outer cylinder 6 is disposed between the indwelling needle and the inner step part at the front of the outer cylinder. |
