PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the change of vehicle speed in the switching between traveling control mode and traveling cargo handling control mode by setting a target prime motor rotating speed high when the opening of a cargo handling lever is increasing, compared with when it is decreasing. SOLUTION: A cargo handling lever opening LTn is read and stored (S1), the read present cargo handling lever opening LTn is compared with the past cargo handling lever opening LTn-1 read before one cycle or before several cycles (S2). When the present cargo handling lever opening LTn is larger than the past cargo handling lever opening LTn-1, it is judged that the cargo lever LT is increasing, and the target engine rotating speed is set high (S3). According to this, the deviation with the actual engine rotating speed is increased, and the actual engine rotating speed can be raised with good responsiveness. Thus, the lack or reduction of engine output resulted from control delay can be avoided to effectively prevent the vehicle speed from temporarily reducing. |
