PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a gradation property to be given to an image consisting of a binary image density by giving gradation numbers by altering the irradiation area and irradiation positional pattern of a laser beam and thus changing a transfer area from a donative material to a transferred body. SOLUTION: This method depends on the alteration of an irradiation area and irradiation position pattern. In the case of areal gradation, input image data is binarized, and the processed binary data is recorded by the ON-OFF operation of a laser. However, even if the irradiation area is the same, by making exposure by changing irradiation patterns, the density forming layer to be transferred to the transfer body is different in its area. Namely, as an irradiation area to a minimum pixel of the donative material is made (a), a transfer area S in the transferred body is S=3a in a pattern of 3-1 and S=3a+(b) in a pattern of 3-2, and herein (b) is a transfer area that is added to the light bleeding caused when irradiated to the pixel. The number of gradations can be increased by making use of the phenomenon. |
