PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stencil printer capable of printing in a large quantity in a short time without introducing increases in a space and a cost capable of printing sheets of a plurality of types. SOLUTION: The stencil printer comprises a plate cylinder 60, a multi-stage sheet feeder 3 having a plurality of sheet storage units 28, 29, 30, 25 and capable of feeding a plurality of types of printing sheets P1, P2, P3, P4, a pressing member 62, a selecting means for selecting one of the storage units, register roller pairs 42, sheet size sensing means 45, 46, 47, 56, sheet presence or absence sensing means 36, 43, 44, 55, and storage means for storing printing sheet feeding time at each storage unit. In this case, when absence of the sheet in the storage unit selected by the selecting means during printing is sensed by the sheet presence or absence sensing means, sheet feeding is automatically switched to the other storage unit for storing the sheets of the same size, and operations of the cylinder 60, the member 62 and the roller pairs 42 are controlled by the control means based on the feeding time of the sheet from the storage unit.
