PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of image quality due to variation of a quantity of ejected ink by a method wherein a pseudo-intermediate operation and a resolution converting operation with respect to multi-value image data are executed in a real time basis and rising of a temperature of a recording head is suppressed. SOLUTION: Inputted multi-value image data is converted to dot data that is provided with pseudo-gradation conversion and resolution conversion by looking up a memory. The number of dots recorded by one scanning for recording based on the dot data is counted (S103, S104). A temperature of the recording head is estimated from the counted value (S106). It is determined whether or not the next recording is executed by one time scanning for recording or plural times of scannings for recording (S108, S109) in accordance with the estimated temperature of the recording head (S107). |
